Tasting Menu – Scotland food larder, paired with Scottish gins


Altskeith Country House is launching its first tasting menu on Saturday 20 October 2018.  

Showcasing the best of Scotland’s food larder paired with some of the leading Scottish gins.  

Canapes and gin fizz will be served on arrival at 6.30 p.m. followed by the 6 course tasting menu.

Early morning Loch Ard, stay by the Loch



Dinner served at 7.00 p.m.

BBQ mackerel, apple, smoked herring roe, beetroot & celery

       served with Arbikie Kirsty’s gin 


Lamb shoulder, yoghurt, black garlic, Israeli cous cous & beetroot powder

                       served with the Botanist gin



Harris scallops, cauliflower textures, bacon tuile

                    served with Kirkjuvag Orkney gin


Rump of Scottish lamb, licorice, chorizo, peas, herb crumb & jus

                       served with Colonsay Wild Island gin

Tasting menu, restaurant with rooms,

                        Rump of Scottish lamb


Vanilla panna cotta, peanut crumble, sour raspberry & raspberry gel

                          served with Stirling gin


Scottish cheese, quince, frozen grapes, crackers & chutney        

                                £6.00 supplement

                      served with Shetland Reel gin


           Tea/coffee & petit four served by the fire in the lounge


Altskeith Country House is  set on the banks of Loch Ard with views towards Ben Lomond.
